1.   Project Outline: North Schisandra chinensis is common staple valuable medicine, with the effectiveness of astringing the lung, arresting seminal emission, promoting salivation, improving intelligence, soothing the nerves, antiperspirant and antidiarrhea. It is mainly used for the treatment of asthma and cough caused by lung weakness, night sweats, dysentery, neurasthenia, acute or chronic hepatitis, vision decline, etc,. It also can be made into health food like north schisandra chinensis wine, tea, honey and drinks, which has a high value of comprehensive development and utilization. At present, the Company has invested more than 7 million to build a north schisandra chinensis seedling cultivation and large farm production base of nearly 3,000 mu [Chinese unit of area (1/15 of a hectare)], and has gradually implemented a large-scale cultivation. With a view to obtain more benefit, the exploitation of north schisandra chinensis wine, beverages and other products has also started. The project is in line with the nation's industrial policy, and is of great significance on advancing the use of resources, increasing the farmers’ incomes and forming the industrial chain of agriculture.

2.  Construction Scale& Product Scheme: The new built comprehensive building, the GMP north schisandra chinensis ferment juice production workshops, and the GMP fruit juice production workshops cover a total area of 16,198 m². Beaters, filtering machines, automatic filling machines and other equipment purchased make up of total 163 pieces (sets), producing 1,760 tons of north schisandra chinensis fermented juice annually and 32,000 tons of north schisandra chinensis beverages.
Market Analysis & Estimated Economic Performance: The project after being put into production can realize annual sales income of RMB 47.61 million, profit of RMB 34.28 million and tax dues of RMB 13.33 million.

3.  Total Investment and Fundraising Method: The Project requires a total investment of RMB 81.37 million, including construction investment of RMB 71.67 million and working capital of RMB 9.7 million. It is planed to attract foreign investment of RMB 40 million, and the remaining share will be raised by the enterprise itself.

2.  Description of the Enterprise: The Company was founded in March 2004. It is a joint-stock private enterprise which mainly operates the planting, processing and marketing of the north schisandra chinensis—an authentic Chinese herbal medicines growing around Changbai Mountain. The current total asset accounts for RMB 31.12 million, with two standardized cultivation bases and a prefabricated parts plant. Now the company owns three professional graduates from the agriculture universities majoring medicine plant, and one researcher. There are 3,000 acres of north schisandra chinensis plantations, bringing along 509 farming families. With an A credit rate, the company has no adverse liabilities.
