1. Introduction to the Project

1.1 Introduction to technical achievements

The medical endoscopic camera system is a high-tech device used for minimally invasive surgery, which can transmit the images captured by the endoscope to the display device, providing doctors with high-definition visual effects, thereby improving the accuracy and safety of surgery.

Surgical power devices usually refer to the devices with the mechanical power provided by a power grid or battery to surgical knives (such as drills, mills, saws, grinders, planers, etc.). They are mainly used for surgical operations that require cutting/cutting, grinding, drilling, sawing through bone and other tissues, opening up bone channels, and removing obstacles for surgical operations.

1.2 Technical analysis and advantages

The medical endoscope camera system series products independently developed by the technical team of the project use CMOS photosensitive chips and advanced image processing technology and algorithms to achieve the industry’s highest level of high-definition restoration of twelve matrix colors. It is the only camera system in the market that can adjust colors, with advantages such as high photosensitivity, realistic colors, ultra-low delay, and ultra large depth of field. It can achieve one-time focusing throughout the surgery. The technical goal is to maintain high-definition at the edges of the screen.

The surgical power system series products independently developed by the technical team have high torque and stable performance, and the built-in motor can still control the temperature and reduce fever while ensuring the stable high speed, providing users with a better handheld experience, sustainable use for a long time, effectively reducing surgical bleeding, and improving surgical efficiency.

1.3 Main products and applications of technical achievements

There are three products in the medical endoscope camera system series: full HD1000 uses a single CMOS chip, suitable for low-end market demand; the Full HD6000 uses three CMOS chips with a resolution of 1080P, suitable for most market demands; the Fougol 4K G16 uses three CMOS chips, with the full HD 4K image quality and a resolution of 2160P, suitable for the high-end market. The above three products can be widely used in minimally invasive surgical fields such as otolaryngology, neurosurgery, urology, hepatobiliary surgery, gastrointestinal surgery, thoracic surgery, thoracic surgery, gynecology, sports medicine, and spinal surgery.

The surgical power system series products include the comprehensive platform FOUGOL 2000A, the surgical grinding system Fougol F16, and the endoscopic surgical planing system Fougol F17. The above products can be used in minimally invasive surgery to crush or remove tissues, and achieve surgical functions such as sawing and grinding of human bone tissue during surgery.

1.4 Technical achievement commercialization and market promotion

1.4.1 Stage of technological achievements

The project is expected to be put into production after the registration certificates of the relevant products are obtained in June 2024.

1.4.2 Technical achievement marketing promotion plan

The company’s sales model is mainly based on distribution, with direct sales as a supplement. It is expected to enter domestic tertiary hospitals and public hospitals at all levels through the marketing networks of major distributors, and focus on promoting high-end products for tertiary hospitals. It will promote the products suitable for the low-end market to county-level hospitals that are about to upgrade to 3A hospitals. As a direct sales strategy targeting private hospitals, it aims to gain the market share at the most competitive prices. The company provides comprehensive professional training and comprehensive support for business development to distributors at different levels, and organizes experts to give lectures and training at county-level hospitals.

It will provide high-end surgical instrument integrated solutions for hospitals around minimally invasive surgery, create a product ecosystem according to the demand, and provide more precise customized support for department construction, technology, and services. It will focus on minimally invasive departments such as otolaryngology, neurosurgery, sports medicine, and spinal surgery in frontline hospitals; the expansion project will upgrade the county-level market of 3A hospitals.

1.5 Technical team

The technical ownership of the project is Jilin Fuge Medical Electronics Co., Ltd., which was established in July, 2015 and settled in Jiutai University Students Entrepreneurship Park in June, 2017. The company is a new and high-tech enterprise that integrates high-end medical device research and development, production, sales, and after-sale service. In 2020, it was recognized as a new and high-tech enterprise in Jilin Province. In 2021, it obtained two Class II registration certificates for medical endoscopic camera systems and medical LED cold light sources, as well as a production license for endoscopic camera systems. In 2022, it was awarded the title of Jilin Province’s technology-based small and medium-sized enterprise. By June, 2024, it is expected to obtain Class II registration certificates for 6 medical endoscopic camera system series products and surgical power system series products. The independently developed series of endoscopic camera system products and surgical power system products can be widely used in various minimally invasive surgical procedures, and the relevant technical indicators of the products have reached the level of the similar foreign product technology, with the huge market application prospects. At present, the information of the technical team leaders in the company is as follows:

1. Yuan Yu, the legal representative and general manager of the company, holds a bachelor’s degree and has worked for Kodak in the United States and Rabin Orthopedics in France. He has over 20 years of experience in marketing and sales, as well as extensive experience in clinical sales and clinical stage matching surgery.

2. Feng Zengming, Technical Director, Professor, Doctor of Engineering, Doctoral Supervisor of the School of Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering of Jilin University, Hangzhou Qianjiang Distinguished Expert, and Chief Technical Expert of South Taihu Lake Elite Plan Innovative Leading Talents. He has been engaged in research in mechanical transmission and dynamic control, software development, institutional innovation and optimization design, and high-end medical device development for a long time, with rich experience in product development.

3. Liu Ye, Deputy General Manager and Management Representative, holds a bachelor’s degree and graduated from Changzhi Medical College with a major in pharmacy. He previously served as the Product Registration Team Leader of Dirui Medical Technology Co., Ltd., Manager and Management Representative of the Quality Department of Runfang (Changchun) Biotechnology Co., Ltd., with the rich work experience in quality system certification and medical device registration in the medical industry, and obtained the ISO9001/ISO13485 Internal Auditor Certificate.

2. Market Potential Analysis

With the continuous deepening of medical reform, the country has provided more support for the localization and innovation of medical equipment, and the favorable policies for the medical endoscope camera system industry are superimposed. According to market research data, it is expected to have reached 2.26 billion US dollars by 2025. The project is planned to raise 39 million yuan, including 17 million yuan for the first phase and 22 million yuan for the second phase.

The first phase of financing is mainly used for raw material and component procurement, product mass production, fixed asset investment, and market channel development.

The second phase of financing is mainly used for the procurement of raw materials and components, investment in new product development and mass production, as well as the development of foreign market channels.

The project has received funding support of 3 million yuan from Changchun Huize Co., Ltd. and has currently invested 500000 yuan.

After the commercialization of the technical achievements of the project, it can generate a market value of approximately 100 million yuan.
