2. Market Potential Analysis

(1) Automotive technical services

With the continuous penetration of autonomous driving, information entertainment, and electrification, the proportion of automotive electronics in the total vehicle cost will continue to increase. In addition, driven by the increasing demand for environmental protection, China plans to fully withdraw traditional fuel vehicles before 2050. Coupled with preferential policies for the new energy vehicle purchase tax, the market demand will gradually shift towards mid to high end models, hybrid models, and pure electric models with a higher proportion of automotive electronics. In the future, the proportion of automotive electronics will continue to increase under the combined effects of policy driven, environmental protection driven, and consumption-driven factors. According to data from CCID, it is expected that by 2025, the electronic cost of passenger cars will have accounted for 60% of the total vehicle cost among all vehicle models.

The sales of new energy vehicles in China increased from 767800 in 2017 to 6.8723 million in 2022. The scale of China’s automotive service market reached 5368.1 billion yuan in 2022, a year-on-year increase of 6.13%. The compound growth rate from 2015 to 2022 was 13.3%, with the automotive electronic service sector accounting for 41.21%, the largest proportion.

(2) New energy vehicle charging control platform

The number of public piles in China has increased from 214000 in 2017 to 1.797 million in 2022, with a compound growth rate of 53.05% over six years; the number of private charging stations (built with vehicles) in China has increased from 231800 units in 2017 to 3.412 million units in 2022, with a compound annual growth rate of 71.23%; by 2030, charging stations will have developed towards popularization and intelligence, with a rapid growth rate of ten times over a decade. According to the International Energy Agency’s commitment to support the growth of new energy vehicles, by the end of 2030, the global charging infrastructure needs to have increased by more than 12 times, with over 22 million electric light charging stations installed annually. The demand for charging electricity may exceed 750TWh, and private charging stations can meet 65% of the energy demand. China remains the largest market for charging piles in the long term.

(3) Vehicle-mounted low-power motor control platform

The penetration rate of wire controlled braking has increased, driving the growth of the wire controlled braking market. Currently, wire controlled braking is in the early stage of commercialization; with the rapid development of the intelligent electric vehicle market, wire controlled steering is in line with the demand for advanced autonomous driving (future in vehicle low-power motors will integrate autonomous driving function), with a compound growth rate of up to 50% in the next four years. Calculated based on the increase in single vehicle value to 3500 yuan/vehicle, with the demand recovery after the end of the pandemic considered, the size of China’s automobile wire controlled steering market will expand rapidly, from 3.01 billion yuan in 2022 to 15.25 billion yuan in 2026. The compound growth rate during the 4-year period will reach 50.0%.
